Peru’s Jesus Salva, Para-Badminton Athlete, won a bronze medal in Men’s Doubles SS6 in the Thailand Para-Badminton International 2018, held in the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 25 to 29.
Jesus, along with Didin Taresoh from Malasia, started their participation in Men’s Doubles by winning the first game in Group C against McVight / Moorcroft (IRL) by 23-21, 16-21 and 22-20 in 50 minutes of game. Despite falling in the next game, they managed to qualify to Quarter Finals and beat Sun Jong Lie (NED) and Asep Sutisna (INA) by 21-18 and 21-19. In Semifinals, Salva and Taresoh could not overcome the pair seeded 1 Coombs / Shepard (ENG) and fell 21-13 and 21-7, thus reaching the bronze medal of the modality.
Salva will join the other Para-Badminton players of our region to face the next Brazil Para-Badminton International 2018, to be held in Sao Paulo from August 7 to 12.
