Badminton World Federation announced today the suspension of the Continental Para badminton Championships 2020 ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all athletes, their entourage, officials and the greater badminton community.
“BWF gives notice that these para badminton continental championships have been suspended. This has been done in consultation with the tournament hosts and the relevant Continental Confederations. Any decision on these tournaments being part of the para badminton calendar in 2021 will be made at a later date”, expressed the BWF Notice.

Para badminton Continental Championships Suspended:
- European Para Badminton Championships 2020– Dublin – 5 – 10 October
- Pan Am Para Badminton Championships 2020 – Manizales – 2 – 8 November
- Asian Para Badminton Championships 2020 – Thailand – 2 – 8 November
- African Para Badminton Championships 2020 – Kampala – 20 – 26 April (announced early)
