The favorites Ygor Coelho (BRA), Jason Ho-Shue (CAN), Kevin Cordon (GUA), Lino Muñoz (MEX) and Osleni Guerrero (CUB), remain firm on their way to the title.
Olympic athlete Howard Shu (USA) has a sponsorship start after winning in his matches today. Shu won the first match against Juan Noguera (COL) in 3 tough games (24-26, 21-7, 21-19) and then, he beat Timothy Lam (USA) by 21-14 and 22-20. Now, Howard will face Cesar Brito (DOM) to continue advancing in the tournament.

Haramara Gaitan (MEX) won her two matches today. First, she beat Ines Castillo (PER) in three hard games (21-13, 15-21, 21-14) and beat Gladys Pluas (ECU) who retired in the first game due to an injury. Now, Gaitan will face Jennie Gai (USA), athlete who went to the YOG 2018.
In addition, Michelle Li and Brittney Tam, Canadian stars, continue as favorites to win the gold medal, however, Fabiana Silva (BRA), Crystal Pan (USA), among others, also continue in the race.

The XXIII Pan Am Individual Championships 2019 will be played from April 25th to 28th at the Gimnasio Olimpico de Ciudad Deportiva de Aguascalientes, Mexico with outstanding players that are showing a preview of what we will experience at the Pan Am Games in Lima 2019.
