BWF Coach Level 3 Pilot Course

BWF Coach Level 3 Continental Pilot Course was held by BWF and BPAC in our region with coaches from Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Peru and Suriname, who were challenged to continue improving and preparing for the elite badminton.

Badminton World Federation (BWF) held this third Coach Level 3 Pilot Course (they developed two courses before in Asia and Europe respectly) seeking the constantly coach education for the development of our sport in each different area.

International experience coaches Kenneth Larssen (DEN) and Martin Andrew (ENG) were in charge to share their knowledge in this course in theoretical and practical sessions, full of new concepts and challenges for the listeners. They, along with the experience coaches, Fran Dacal and Dolores Marco from Spain and Ram Nayyar from Canada, got an audience totally interested in continuing to improve and with new objectives to achieve the best level of training in their countries.

Sharon Springer, BWF Education Resources Manager, expressed her satisfaction with the course and the feedback that BWF obtains in this third pilot course.

“It has been interesting to see the differences of the course in the different contexts, and to see the evolution of the course in each edition. I think it is a well-planned course that works at a practical and theoretical level. It is super intensive and has tired the assistant coaches, but they have learned a lot, bringing a lot of new information to the direct application. It has been intensive and fun, a challenging experience but very good for everyone”, said Springer.
