The elections for the BWF Athletes’ Commission 2021 – 2025 took place on Friday 17 December 2021.
Eligible players who registered in advance were able to login and vote online Friday. The poll was open for 5 hours – from 17:00 to 22:00 KL time (10:00 – 15:00 Central European Time).
A total of 162 eligible athletes voted in the elections, and the number of votes each candidate received is below.

BWF Athletes’ Commission 2021 – 2025
BWF is pleased to announce the six members of the BWF Athletes’ Commission 2021 – 2025.
The elections rules state that the male candidate / female candidate with the highest number of votes take the first two positions (Robin Tabeling (NED) / Iris Wang (USA). The next 4 candidates with the highest number of votes in order take the remaining four positions.
The new Commission will meet soon and decide the Chair / Deputy Chair of the Commission amongst the six members. The Chair of the BWF Athletes’ Commission (following a vetting process as required for all Council members) becomes a member of Council until the next elections in 2025.
