Badminton Pan Am held a press conference to present the XXIII Pan Am Mixed Team Championships 2019, the last event in our region that awards points for qualification to the 2019 Pan Am Games.

The ceremony was attended by authorities of the Badminton Pan Am Confederation, the Organizing Committee of the Pan American Games and Para Panamerican Games Lima 2019, Badminton Peru Federation and outstanding athletes from our region, who will seek to add the most points to achieve more quotas in the classification.
Also, the Groups Draw was made at the Manager’s Meeting and the groups were defined as the following:
This Pan Am Championship is the first event that will have an special trophy: the Pan American Cup.
Canada, United States and Brazil have secured 8 places for the Pan American Games (4 men and 4 women) thanks to the score that their players have added throughout the qualification period. Likewise, the host Peru, also has the same number of places. Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico and the Dominican Republic have 6 places for the moment, but this may vary after this Pan Am Championship.
Peru will host this event, which will have the participation of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, United States and Peru, and will take place from February 14 to 17.
