With very good participation in Junior tournaments around the world, and with victories in Senior tournaments, Brian is currently the second best junior athlete in the world, only after Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand.

With 18 years old, Yang has obtained incredible results in his sports career such as the silver medal in the 2019 Pan American Games and the gold medal in the 2019 Pan Am Junior Championship, in addition to winning the crowns at the Pan Am circuit tournaments in Peru, Dominican Republic and Suriname.

Last year, Brian suffered an injury that took him away from the courts for a few months, however he was able to recover in time to compete at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 where he won the gold medal in the Relay Team Event.

This year started in a great way for him. He won the bronze medal at the Dutch Junior International and the silver medal at the German Junior International, marking the path to follow in the 24 tournaments in which he participated during 2019.

Brian is part of Team Canada that won the gold medal at the Pan Am Team 2019 and has competed at Sudirman Cup 2019, highlighting and getting good results.

With Lee Chong Wei as an inspiration, Brian continues to strive to achieve his dreams which are getting closer. His great game and his commitment to our sport ensures, without a doubt, a great future for the Canadian badminton and the Pan American badminton.

Congratulations Brian!!
