From January 30 to February 2, a BWF – WAoS Administrator Course was held in Panama City, organized by BWF and BPAC with participation of 11 countries from our region.
Representatives of Barbados, Canada, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, and United States participated of this course which has the following objectives:
- Identify key goals and future dates to work towards, and map an ideal pathway for developing athletes.
- Ensure athletes are at the center of your decision-making when developing strategic and operational plans.
- Develop or include new elements of a draft strategic plans as a starting point for their Member Association.
- Develop a draft 2025 operational plan as a starting point for their Member Association.
BPAC Events Director, Mr. Ricardo Salamanca, and Development Director, Mr. Juan Pablo Alvarado, led this course sharing the respective topics for the participant’s interest.
In addition, the course was enriched by the presentations of Nikte Sotomayor, Olympian athlete, and Jose Gabril del Busto, BWF Council Member and BPAC Deputy President.
