34 Events on the Pan Am Calendar

The Pan Am Calendar for this 2023 has 34 events that will be held in our region including Pan Am Circuit tournaments, Continental Championships, Para badminton tournaments and Regional Games.

The events scheduled until May 1st award points to the World Ranking that are considered within the qualification period for Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games. The qualification period for Paris 2024 Olympic Games will start on June 2023.

Continental Championships

The 2023 starts with our Pan American Cup 2023, Mixed Team Continental Event that will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from February 16 to 19. Our XXVI YONEX Pan Am Individual Championships 2023 will be held in Kingston, Jamaica, from April 27 to 30 and just finishing we will have our Pan Am Qualification Stage for the ANOC World Beach Games 2023. Junior athletes will compete on July in Lima, Peru, at the XXXI YONEX Pan Am Junior Championships 2023, that will have the Team event, U19 event and U13-U17 event.

Regional Games

Santiago de Chile city will host the Pan Am Games 2023 and Parapan Am Games 2023 in October and November respectively. The best Pan Am athletes will fight for the medals and Chile promises to be a great host for this edition.

Para badminton Tournaments

The region will host 2 Para badminton tournaments this year, events that are part of the Para badminton World Circuit: Brazil Para badminton International 2023 in April and the Canada Para badminton International 2023 in June.

Pan Am Circuit

Different Associations applied to host BWF Grade 3 events (Continental level) and some Junior Tournaments for this 2023.

The Pan Am Circuit will start with the first Future Series event of a total of 7, the traditional Giraldilla Internacional in Cuba next March. Then, Chile in May, Peru and Guatemala in June, Argentina and Mexico in August and Dominican Republic in October will organize the other Future Series of the year.

9 International Series events will be held in 2023. Dominican Republic will host the first one in June, while Brazil, Paraguay and Aruba will organize these events in August. Venezuela and Peru will do the same in October and Guatemala, Suriname and Mexico in November.

There will be 5 International Challenge events, starting in Mexico in May, Guatemala and Peru in August, El Salvador in November and Canada in December.

For Junior Athletes, Guatemala in June and Dominican Republic and Mexican in October will host Junior International events this 2023.
