Badminton Pan Am informs with deep regret that the Coach Jose Muñoz Escobar from Chile, passed away last Friday.
Coach Jose Muñoz (1933-2023) was the first Chilean coach to go with a team to the 1997 Badminton World Championships. He has worked for years in the development of our sport in his country, training young and experienced players during his long career.
In addition, he was dedicated to the development of Para badminton in the country, designated as National Coach responsible for the work and training of Jaime Aranguiz, current Pan American Para badminton champion.
He is a huge loss to our badminton community and leaves a legacy of work and development for the benefit of Pan Am badminton.
