Winners in Iran

Outstading Pan Am players from Brazil, Canada and Mexico won medals at the 32nd Iran Fajr International Challenge 2024, competition held in Iran, from January 30 to February 4.

Brazilians Jaqueline Lima and Samia Lima reached the podium top in Women’s Doubles (featured image) after defeating duos from Iran and South Africa. Jaqueline Lima also won a bronze medal in Mixed Doubles along with Fabricio Farias, sharing the podium with Ty Lindeman and Josephine Wu (CAN) who also reached the 3/4 position of the event. Ty added a new bronze medal in Men’s Doubles along with Kevin Lee (CAN).

Job Castillo and Luis Montoya won the silver medal in Men’s Doubles. The Mexican duo started the competition as seeded 2 and defeated duos from Iran and Bulgaria to reach the final where they faced Prasad/Pratheek (IND). The also Mexicans Haramara Gaitan and Sabrina Solis reached the bronze medal in Women’s Doubles.

In Singles, Juliana Viana Vieira got the bronze medal after defeating players from Iran, India and Czech Republic but losing in Semifinals against Tasmin Mir (IND).

Our Pan Am Players continue to prepare on their route to Paris 2024 and will compete in the next Pan Am Male & Female Championship 2024.
