  1. At what age did you start in Badminton and how did you get into this sport?

“I started at 11 years because the president of the federation, who was friend of my parents, invited me to play”.

  1. In how many tournaments did you participate and what have been your best results?

“Definitely more than 30, and my best achievement, apart from winning, was to have participated in many South American, Pan American and Central American games”.

  1. To how many countries has Badminton taken you?

“At least 28, almost all America, and some countries in Asia and Oceania”.

  1. What anecdotes comes to your mind when you remember your trips?

“When I was 12, I had a direct flight to Guadalajara and lost it … I was in Houston for two days alone”.

  1. Which are your short and medium term objectives as a Badminton player?

“Be able to win the Central American Games and rise in the ranking to the position 70”.

  1. Do you perform other activities in parallel to your career as an athlete, such as studies or work?

“I have a truncated career in Administration and now I´m studying Law, also I work as a consultant from time to time”.

  1. How sacrificed is it to train, study and work at the same time?

“It’s very sacrificed because of the timing and punctuality, but I’m getting used to it”.

  1. How do you keep your commitment and discipline in your life?

“As things are not easy, I always say to myself: “you have to fight for the things you want”.

  1. Apart from sporting satisfactions, what other things did Badminton give you?

“It has given me many opportunities, meeting important people, having opportunities to travel and make friends all over the world”.

  1. Which are your favorite hobbies?

“Go to the theater, I like the experimental theater”.

“Salvador Sanchez”

  1. Is Badminton popular in your country?

“Not at all, but at the moment it is growing”.

  1. Have you ever played in the Junior Pan Am Championships?

“I have participated and won many bronzes and some silver, it is a unique experience.”
