PRESS RELEASE
During august and september, 5 and 6, will be held the first edition of The Special Youth Badminton League with athletes between 16 to 25 years in the cities of Caracas, San Carlos, La Guaira and Punto Fijo. This event will be held for six weeks and there will be four teams to participate, all representing their headquarters where the league will be played.
Thirty-two athletes will clash weekly to become part of the badminton national elite . The event has the support of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee and soon will be presented to different sporting organizations and companies for its organization and support.
Thirty-two medals and special prizes will be awarded by the winners, and the games will be played in two simultaneous fields. There will be live broadcast radio and TV deferred, the games will last 3 15 points sets in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
The technical team is made by, Jose Antonio Ramirez, Edgar Hernandez, Leonardo Ruiz, Gilder Pacheco, Libni Urimari Morales and Sanchez. The information was given by the President of Fedebadminton, Prof. Richard Dennery, who finished saying that they already have the resources for this important event.
