Pan Am Coaches participated at the BWF Coaching Conference held on the sidelines of the Li-Ning BWF World Junior Championships 2018 in Toronto, Canada.
BWF Coaching Conference was conducted on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17, 2018 and the programme was aimed at giving provincial, national and international coaches an opportunity to access the most up-to-date coaching methods and practices.
Our Coaches enjoyed and know more about the following topics: Coach Development, High-performance management planning, Injury Prevention, Developing Female Players, Tactical and skill-development techniques for players, and Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Training.
Mike Butler, Jennifer Lee and Efendi Wijaya, Canada’s Coaches, were speakers in this conference, among with Wade Gilbert, Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Fresno State University, Kenneth Larsen, Danish National Coach, David Cabello, BWF Development and Sport for All Committee Chair, Scott Sandison, Canada Olympic Athlete and representative of Right To Play, Tracy Hallam, New Zealand national Coach and Niels Christian Kaldau, specialist in orthopedic surgery.
The practical sessions had the support of the Canada Junior team, who participated in the World Junior Championships 2018.
The conference programme provided the latest information about the art of coaching young athletes, including practical sessions and formal presentations. The BWF Coaching Conference programme continueed the tradition of giving coaches at all levels access to some world-class coaches and experts within and outside our great game.
