On March 24 to 26, Santo Domingo hosted a Shuttle Time course at the facilities of Centro Olimpico , with the aim of training national level teachers in their country. 29 teachers from the city, attended this course during 6 hours per day distributed in 2 sessions : from 9 am. to 12 pm (theoretical lessons) and during the afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.(practice lessons).
This course was delivered by tutor Nelson Javier Ozuna from Dominican Republic and the teaching methodology included didactic materials as power point presentations and badminton kits. The evaluation consisted in daily learning work and for the final part, teachers presented an activity plan for a badminton class with the introduction of the sport and a basic programme.
As a result, 14 teachers certificated the Shuttle Time Programme.
