We are a few days before the start of the Badminton Competition at XVIII Pan Am Games 2019, so let’s review 10 things you need to know about badminton at Lima 2019:
1. When will the badminton competition develop?
The Badminton competition will start on July 29 with preliminary rounds, and will have the Finals on August 2.
2. Where will Badminton will played?
Badminton Competitionn will be held at Sport Center 3 in Sport National Village, in San Luis, Lima, Peru.
3. Which countries will be represented?
22 countries will be represented at Pan Am Games 2019: Canada, United States, Brazil, Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Jamaica, Chile, Costa Rica, Argentina, El Salvador, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Guyana, Suriname, Bolivia, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago and host Peru.
4. Which players will compete this time?
At the end of June the players were registered according to the amount of quotas reached by their countries.

Draws were made at BWF HQ and were published on July 16th, according the Badminton Competition Manual.

7. Who were the last champions?
In Pan Am Games 2015, Michelle Li and Kevin Cordon won in Singles. Phillip Chew /Sattawat Pongnairat and Eva Lee / Paula Lynn Obanana won in Doubles, and Phillip Chew/Jamie Subandhi, in Mixed Doubles.
8. Which country won the most medals?
Canada, with 17 gold medals, 19 silver and 13 bronze.
