Athletes from Chile, Mexico and host Guatemala won medals at Guatemala Future Series 2019, held in Guatemala city from november 6 to 10.

Guatemala’s players dominated 4 events winning the crowns of Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. While, Mexico’s Job Castillo won the title in Men’s Singles.

Diana Corleto in Singles, Jonathan Solis/Anibal Marroquin in Men’s Doubles, Ana Albanes/Sara Barrios in Women’s Doubles and Brandon Alvarado/Alejandra Paiz in Mixed Doubles are the champions of Guatemala Future Series 2019, defending the house and showing a great level in each match.

Job Castillo (MEX) reached the MS podium top after good victories against athletes from Guatemala and defeating Ruben Castellanos (GUA) in the final (21-18, 21-15). Castellanos won the silver medal and Jose Luis Granados (GUA) and Ivan León (CHI) won the bronzes.

Chile won 3 bronze medals. Ivan Leon reached Semifinals in Singles and in Doubles with Cristian Araya, who did the same in Mixed Doubles with Camila Macaya.

This Guatemala Future Series 2019 had participation of athletes from Chile, El Salvador, Mexico and Guatemala.

Now, our Pan Am Players will continue preparing for the next challenges in our region as XIII Suriname International 2019 and II El Salvador International 2019.
