ALL READY – SANTIAGO 2023

As usual, before each Pan Am Competition, the Technical Delegates Meeting was held with the participation of delegates and coaches from each country which will compete at Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games.

The Meeting was led by Mr. Armando Bruni, Badminton Pan Am president, Mr. German Valdez, International Technical Delegate, Mr. Sebastian Verdugo, Sport Manager for Santiago 2023, Mr. Ricardo Salamanca, Badminton Pan Am Events Director, Mr. Yves Cote, Referee and Mrs, Dionne Haynes, Deputy Referee of this event.

“We welcome you to the most important competition in our region, hoping you and your players could enjoy it and show their best game. Also we want to invite to all your country delegations to support the badminton players in the stands. Please, encourage them to come and be part of this badminton competition.” – said Mr. Bruni at the begining of the meeting.

Authorities at the Meeting

During the meeting, Mr. Verdugo, Badminton Sport Manager, explained the venue facilities and Local Organizing Committee regulations for the competition. As well, Mr. Valdez refered regarding the competition and to continue looking for the best arrangements for the correct performance of the athletes during the competition.

Mr. Yves Cote, Referee for Santiago 2023 Badminton Competition

Mr. Yves Cote explained about the field of play, procedures and regulations players must follow during the Games. Also, presented the withdraw in Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles of the brazilian pairs: Jaqueline Lima/Samia Lima and Fabricio Farias/Jaqueline Lima.

Badminton Competition will start on Saturday 21st at 9am (local time) with the Round of 64 in MS and WS and with the Round of 32 in all events.
