AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD

Kevin Cordon reached the 4th place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

After several days of excitement, the Guatemalan star culminated his participation at Tokyo 2020 by reaching the fourth place in the badminton competition.

Cordon used all his experience to reach the Semi-Finals after beating Lino Muñoz (MEX) and Angus NG (HKN) in the group stage, Mark Caljouw (NED) in the Round of 16, and Kwanghee Heo (KOR) in the Quarterfinals Final.

For Kevin, it was not enough to be the first Pan Am badminton player to compete in 4 Olympic games, but he also wanted to be the first to reach a semifinal in singles.

In Semi-Finals, Kevin faced Viktor Axelsen (DEN), losing in 2 games but showing a good performance and amazing rallies. Axelsen would be the one to climb to the podium top at the end of the competition, with Chen Long (CHN) who won the silver and Anthony Ginting (INA) who reached the bronze medal after defeating Kevin in the third-place match.

With this result and the performance of Kevin in each match, he showed us and reminded us of the place that Pan Am badminton can occupy in the world, among the best.

Congratulations Kevin, and thank you!!!
