One month after his sensitive death, from BPAC we want to highlight Andy Chong, outstanding athlete, coach, and friend of Pan American badminton.
Always with an impeccable attitude and willing to share his knowledge, Andy Chong left a great legacy. It overflows to many athletes who learned from him, family members who enjoyed his experience, organizations that shared his professionalism and fans who enjoyed his results.
Andy has dedicated himself to coaching junior and adult players, reinforcing the level of badminton in the USA. In recent years he has led national teams competing in Pan American and world tournaments, achieving great sporting results.
“He will be remembered not only for his achievements but also for his positive impact on everyone’s lives. Andy was a mentor, a role model, and a friend. His legacy in the badminton world, as well as in the hearts of those he touched, will continue to inspire for years to come” – USA Badminton said of Andy Chong’s career and his influence on our sport.
