Champions in Brazil – Pan Am Circuit 2022

Pan Am Players from El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and host Brazil, took the podium of the Brazil International Series 2022, Pan Am Circuit 2022 event held in Teresina, Brazil.

Brazil young promise, Juliana Vieira, won the gold in Women’s Singles after great matches. She defeated Ines Castillo (seeded 3/4) in Quarter-Finals and olympian Haramara Gaitan (MEX), seeded 1, in the Semifinals, to reach the final where Vieira defeated Vanessa Garcia (MEX). The bronze medals were for Gaitan and Fernanda Saponara (PER) who also showed a good performance defeating local Samia Lima and olympian Nikte Sotomayor (GUA), seeded 2.

Uriel Canjura (ESA) got the crown after defeating 4 players from Brazil to reach the final where he faced Bernardo Atilano (POR) winning the match in straight games. Donnians Oliveira and Jonathan Matias won the bronze medals of the event.

The Mixed Doubles title were for Jonathan Solis and Diana Corleto (GUA). The seeded 2 duo managed to defeat brazilian duos to reach the final and face Matheus Voigt and Tamires Santos (BRA). Fabricio Farias/Jaqueline Lima and Davi Silva/Sania Lima reached the 3/4 places.

In Men’s Doubles, Fabricio Farias and Francielton Farias won the gold after defeating favourite duo Anibal Marroquin/Jonathan Solis (GUA) by 21-12, 21-17. Waleson Santos/Marcos Sousa and Izak Batalha/Matheus Voigt got the bronze medals.

Women’s Doubles seeded 1 duo, Samia Lima and Jaqueline Lima (BRA), defeated Nikte Sotomayor and Diana Corleto (GUA) to won the crown of the event. The 3/4 places were for Monaliza Feitosa/Lorena Vieira and Jeisiane Alves/Juliana Vieira.

The Pan Am Circuit 2022 will continue with the YONEX Canada Open 2022, BWF Super 100 event, and the VIII Guatemala International Series 2022.
