Champions in El Salvador – Pan Am Circuit 2022

Pan Am Players from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and United States won the medals of the IV El Salvador International, International Series event part of the Pan Am Circuit 2022, held in San Salvador from November 29 to December 4.

Local star Uriel Canjura, won the crown in Singles after defeating players from Guatemala, Mexico, Spain and India to reach the Final where he faced olympian Kevin Cordon winning in a 3-games-match (21-18, 21-23, 21-19). Jonathan Matias (BRA) reached the bronze medal along with Harshit Aggarwal (IND).

Lauren Lam (USA) continues to shine on the Pan Am Circuit. She defeated players from Bulgary, Peru, Mexico and Spain to won the Women’s Singles gold medal. Ania Setien (ESP) got the silver medal while Mexicans Haramara Gaitan and Vanessa Garcia reached the 3/4 places of the event.

Canadians Kevin Lee and Ty Lindeman won the gold in Men’s Doubles after defeating duos from Croatia, Spain, Guatemala and Cezch Republic. Anibal Marroquin and Jonathan Solis (GUA) won the bronze medals along with Monroy/Piris (ESP).

Olympian Paula Lynn Cao Hok and Lauren Lam won the gold medal in Women’s Doubles. They defeated duos from Guatemala, Cezch Republic and Peru to reach the final where they defeated Annie Xu and Kerry Zu (USA) in straight games (21-18, 21-17). The bronze medals were for Paula La Torre/Ines Castillo (PER) and Maria Delia Zambrano (ECU) /Juliana Giraldo (COL).

In Mixed Doubles peruvian duos Jose Guevara/Ines Castillo and Diego Mini/Paula La Torre reached the podium. Both duos reached the Semifinals and lost against Monroy/Setien (ESP) and Tarun/Priya (IND) respectively.

The Pan Am Circuit 2022 will continue with the YONEX Canadian International Challenge 2022 this week.
