Champions in Guatemala – Pan Am Circuit 2023

Pan Am Players from Canada, Mexico, United States and host Guatemala, won the medals at the Guatemala International Series 2023, Pan Am Circuit event held in Guatemala City, from November 8 to 12.

Kevin Cordon, Pan Am Games 2023 runner-up, won the gold in singles, after starting as seeded 1 and defeating players from United States, Peru, Canada and Italy. Italian Giovanni Toti got the silver medal while Imran Wadia (CAN) and Fabio Caponio (ITA) reached the 3/4 places of the event.

Locals Diana Corleto/Nikte Sotomayor won the Women’s Doubles title after defeating 3 duos from Canada. Jackie Dent/Crystal Lai (CAN) won the silver medal and Pan Am Games medalist Romina Fregoso/Miriam Rodriguez (MEX) reached the bronze medals along with Emma Meng/Sophia Nong (CAN).

Ishika Jaiswal from United States won the crown in Women’s Singles after defeating players from El Salvador, Canada, Guatemala and Mexico to reach the final, where she defeated Sophia Nong (CAN) in straight games. Mexicans Vanessa Garrido and Haramara Gaitan took the 3/4 places of the podium.

Silver medalists at Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games, Job Castillo and Luis Montoya, won the gold medal in Men’s Doubles after defeating seeded 1 duo, Mammeri/Medel (ALG) in the final. Kelvin Chong/William Hu (USA) and Granados/Ortiz (GUA) won the bronze medals of the event.

The Mixed Doubles Silver medal were for Mexicans Luis Montoya and Miriam Rodriguez, medalist at Santiago 2023, who defeated duos from Canada to reach the final where they lost against seeded 1 duo Mammeri/Mammeri from Algeria. The bronze medals were for locals Christopher Martinez/Mariana Paiz and Imran Wadia/Cyrstal Lai (CAN).

Pan Am Circuit 2023 will continue with the XIV SURINAME INTERNATIONAL 2023, XIV MEXICAN INTERNATIONAL 2023 and the EL SALVADOR INTERNATIONAL 2023 during this november.
