Pan Am Players from Brazil, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico and United States won medals at the XII Santo Domingo Open 2022, International Series event helf in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from June 8 to 12.

This Pan Am Circuit 2022 event had the participation of more than 160 players from different countries around the world and venue was the same that will be used for our next XXX Pan Am Junior Championships 2022.
The Women’s Doubles podium was the only one fulfill of Pan Am athletes. Sania Lima and Tamires Santos (BRA) won the gold after deafeating the seeded 1 duo, Diana Corleto/Nikte Sotonayor (GUA) in the finals. Nicole Frevold/Kalea Sheung (BRA) and Jeisiane Alvez/Juliana Vieira (BRA) reached the 3/4 places.
Cuban athletes returned to international competitions after a while.
Osleni Guerrero and Leodannis Martinez won a silver medal in Men’s Doubles after defeating duos from Brazil, Dominican Republic and Guatemala but losing in the finals against Endo/Takei (JPN) who won the crown. The bronze medals were for
Job Castillo/Luis Montoya (MEX) and
Jonathan Solis/Anibal Marroquin (GUA) seeded 1 and 2 respectively.
In Mixed Doubles,
Davi Silva and Sania Lima (BRA) reached the second place after defeating duos from Peru, Cuba and Guatemala, but losing against Nihei/Asakura (JPN) in the finals.
Osleni Guerrero/Thalia Mengana (CUB) and
Jonathan Solis/Diana Corleto (GUA).
In Singles, Pan Am players won the bronze medals of each event. For the female side, seeded 1
Haramara Gaitan (MEX) and seeded 2
Disha Gupta managed to reach a place in the podium while for male side, experienced
Lino Muñoz (MEX) and a young promise
Davi Silva (BRA) were the best Pan Am players in this event.
The Pan Am players are now preparing for the II Mexico Future Series 2022 that will be held in August 2022.
