Champions in Suriname – Pan Am Circuit 2023

Pan Am players from El Salvador, French Guiana, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, United States and host Suriname, took the podiums of the XIV Suriname International 2023, Pan Am Circuit 2023 event held in Paramaribo from November 15 to 19.

Pan Am Games medalist, Uriel Canjura (ESA), won the gold medal in Men’s Singles. Cajura started the competition as seeded 1 and defeated players from Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname and Italia to reach the final where he defeated Giovanni Toti (ITA) for the gold medal. Olympian Howard Shu (USA) and Fabio Caponio (ITA) reached the 3/4 places of the event.

Olympian Haramara Gaitan won the Women’s Singles crown after defeating players from Suriname, Peru and French Guiana. In the final, Gaitan defeated Sabrina Solis (MEX) after a 3-games-match, to reach the podium top. Drean Loraine (FGY) and Gianna Stiglich (ITA) won the bronze medals.

Haramara Gaitan and Sabrina Solis (MEX) won the gold in Women’s Doubles after defeating local duos. Urquhart Amara (TTO)/Chan Yang (SUR) won the silver medals while the bronze medals were for Crystal Leefmans/Sion Zeegelaar (SUR) and Kayleigh Moenne/Faith Sariman (SUR).

The Mixed Doubles podium have Mitchel Wongsodikromo (SUR)/Drean Loriane (FGY) as a winner, Rivano Bisphan/Sion Zeegelaar (SUR) as silver medalists and Sunny Li/Chantal Huang (SUR) and Jair Naipal/Kayleigh Moenne (SUR) as bronze medalists.

Soren Opti/Mitchel Wongsodikromo (SUR) won the gold medal in Men’s Doubles after defeating Diego Dos Ramos/Al-Hassan Somedjo (SUR) in the final. The bronze medals were for Rivano Bisphan/Danny Chen (SUR) and Gilmar Jones/Dion Mook (SUR).

The Pan Am Circuit 2023 will continue with the Mexican International 2023 and the El Salvador International 2023 during this november.
