When did you start in Para-Badminton and how do you get into this sport?
“I practice Para-Badminton 7 years ago.”

How was your experience in this V Pan Am Para-Badminton Championships 2018?
“I think it has been a high level tournament. There are new players, both those who are starting and others who already have time in the sport. I think it is a high level tournament, especially because it is a Pan Am Championships that gives many points for the World Ranking. And since we are in the race to qualify for Tokyo 2020, the points we get in the Pan-American tournament are very important.”

In how many tournaments did you participate and which are your best results?
“I don’t know how many tournaments I’ve played so far. They are many because every year I participate in approximately 4 national, 4 state and 2 or 3 international tournaments. And I think my best result was the Bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships.”

To how many countries has badminton taken you?
“I have been several times in Peru. I met Colombia, Cuba, England, Spain, Germany and some others.”

What are your short and medium term objectives as a badminton player?
“My goal is to participate at Tokyo 2020. That is my approach in the short and medium term. In the long term I see myself in the Paralympics Games 2024. Next year, as we will seek the qualification to Tokyo, I will participate in many international tournaments to improve in the world ranking.”

What message would you like to tell to those who don’t know yet baminton?
“Para-Badminton is a sport that is not very well known in our region but after I met it, my life changed and Para-Badminton became my life. I think that all people have to know a little bit about Para-Badminton because it is a wonderful sport. I’m sure that whoever knows it and plays a little is not going to stop playing it.”

Who would you like to thank for all you have accomplished so far?
“I’m a person who has a lot of faith in God and I thank God always. I thank my family, the people who always accompanied me and encouraged me. And also my coach who is always by my side and was the person who put me on this path.”
