Paraguay Badminton Federation started 2020 with great expectations. The shuttle time Paraguay program planned to organize more courses and have more students learning about our sport. In February they had already exceeded their first goal by having 60 students in the sports school. However, the pandemic put a stop to the illusion of continuing to learn and practice one of the most complete sports in the world.
After 3 months of quarantine, where virtual classes were the tools to continue keeping badminton on everyone’s mind, Badminton Paraguay organized an exciting virtual competition. The National Federation’s Facebook page was filled with creativity by sharing various photos of Homemade Badminton Rackets, made by the various students of the Shuttle Time program and by high-performance players.
The rackets were made with recycled elements, such as homemade product wrappers, old strainers, nylon stockings, etc. After a voting period through social networks, the winner of the most creative racket won the official shirt of the Paraguayan badminton team as a prize. Congratulations Emma Meza for winning this award.
Congratulations Paraguay Badminton Federation for keeping the creativity of the Paraguayan badminton family active, in a safe way, from home, and sharing the passion for our sport.
