III El Salvador International 2021 Champions

Pan Am Players from Brazil, Guatemala, Jamaica, United States and host El Salvador won the medals at III El Salvador International 2021 held from December 14 to 18 in San Salvador, El Salvador.

In Mixed Doubles, Christopher Martinez and Mariana Paiz (GUA) reached the podium top after a good performance defeating duos from United States and El Salvador. In the final, they faced Kevin Shi and Ishika Jaiswal (USA) winning in straight games (21-14, 21-18). Javier Alas /Fatima Centeno (ESA) and Samuel Ricketts /Tahlia Richardson (JAM) reached the 3/4 positions of the event.

Local star, Uriel Canjura, gave the gold medal to the host country after defeating athletes from Mexico, Croatia, Italia, and Brazil to reach the final and also defeat Donnians Oliveira (BRA) in straight games (21-14, 21-12). Don Averia (USA) and Artur Pomoceno (BRA) got the bronze medals of the event.

Brazilians took the podium tops in doubles. Jonathan Matias and Artur Pomoceno won the crown in Men’s Doubles while Sania Lima and Tamires Santos did the same in Women’s Doubles. Bronze medals were for United States pairs Enrico Asuncio/Justin Ma, Sri Kolla/Kevin Shi and Ishika Jaiswal/Srivedya Gurazada.

Ishika Jaiswal (USA) won the gold medal in Singles after defeating players from Brazil, Venezuela and  Italia, to reach the final where she faced Juliana Viana (BRA) winning by 21-19, 21-17. Disha Gupta (USA) won the bronze medal of the event.

The III El Salvador International 2021 was the last Pan Am Circuit 2021 Event and our players showed a great performance during the year and will prepare to start the competition in 2022 with the Pan Am Male & Female Cup 2022 in February.
