1.- When did you start in Badminton and how do you get into this sport?
“I started playing badminton 3 months ago, I played basketball and the badminton coach asked me if I wanted to try this discipline and I liked it. First, I started playing jumping, and then i got to do it in a wheelchair”.

2.- In how many tournaments did you participate?
“The Peru Para Badminton International 2017 was my first tournament and it was very excited.”

3.- Which are your short and medium term objectives as a badminton player?
“Now, that I have started to play with prostheses and not in a wheelchair, I have to ‘change the chip’ that I have in mind and improve, I hope to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games and get some medal”.

4.- Do you do other activities in parallel to your career as athlete such as studies or work?
“I studied Modern Languages ​​in an institute and now I teach English to children and teenagers”.


5.- How sacrificed is it to train and  work at the same time?
“It is difficult because I train in a place that is an hour from my house, but it has not complicate me much because my work schedule is flexible and I like that”.

6.- In addition to sporting satisfactions, what other things does badminton give you?
“A lot of things like respect, honesty and be able to make new friends”.

7.- Which are your favorite hobbies?
“I like to teach English, also, go out and dance which is what I love.”

8.- Who was your first coach?
“Alberto Armansa”.

9.- Which club do you represent?
“I play for the national federation”.

10.- Is Para-Badminton popular in your country?
“Compared to conventional badminton, it is not so famous, but it is growing and I am glad to be a part of this”.

11.- What message would you like to tell to those who follow this interview?
“Having a disability doesn’t mean having a disadvantage, it’s one more reason to go ahead and give the best of you”.
