Michelle Li is in the Top 10 of the World Ranking after her last victory at Pan Am Games 2019.
Canadian star, Michelle Li reached the position 9 at BWF Ranking after her gold medal at Lima 2019, above outstanding players like Beiwen Zhang (USA) and Carolina Marin (ESP).
With more than 56k points, Li was able to compete in 22 tournaments and score 316 victories, in the last 52 weeks, which now place her in the 9th position in the world ranking. Among her best results is the victory against former BWF N° 1, Tai Tzu Ying (TPE) at Japan Open 2019 Quarterfinals last July, the crown at the Pan Am Individual Championship 2019 and Macau Open 2018, and the Group 2 first place at BWF Sudirman Cup 2019.
In addition, Michelle Li is the only player who has achieved the crown in Singles in 3 different editions of the Pan Am Games:
