Pan American players from Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and United States are competing at the NSDF Royal Beach Cliff BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2024, held in Pattaya, Thailand.

Our Pan Am players showed great performance during the competition, which started on February 20, and already secured some medals for the region.
For the Wheelchair classes, Pilar Jauregui is the defending champion and will play Semifinals against Yuma Yamazaki (JPN). Jauregui is also in the Mixed Doubles Quarter-finals along with Yuri Ferrigno (ITA), while Parapan Am Games champion Jaime Aranguiz is also in XD QF along with Man-Kei To (BEL).
In SH6, Giuliana Poveda will fight to repeat the gold she got in 2019, and will face LIN Shuangbao (CHN) in semifinals. Poveda also is in Quarter-finals of Women’s Doubles event along with Rubi Fernandez. Both are the defending champions and wants to repeat the gold medal.
Vitor Tavares is already in semifinals and will face Nagar Krishna (IND) in Singles and, along with Miles Krajewski, both will face Lin/Zeng (CHN) in Doubles.
Miles and Jayci Simon are also in Semifinals of Mixed Doubles and will face Lin/Li (CHN) to seek the gold medal in this competition.
The NSDF Royal Beach Cliff BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2024 have also the presence of BWF authorities like Mrs. Pilar Carrillo, BWF Council Member and Member of the BWF Para badminton Committee. Mrs. Pilar is also part of the BPAC Executive Committee and is sharing some moments with our Para players during the competition along with Raul Anguiano (GUA), representative of the athletes for the Para badminton players commission.
