After Panam Sports confirmations, National Olympic Committees accepted the quotas granted after the qualification reached by their athletes in the Final Ranking and we already have the exact number of places that each country will have in Badminton competition at Santiago 2023.
Chile, as host, will have 8 players (4 men and 4 women) competing in Santiago and showing the best chilean badminton.
Canada will be represented by 10 players. By ranking, Canada is ranked first with the highest score, reaching 8 places for the Games (4 men and 4 women) to this is added the places obtained through the Cali 2021 Pan Am Junior Games (event that granted direct places to the champions) where Brian Yang and Rachel Chan got the gold medals.
United States and Brazil reached 8 spots (4 men and 4 women) each after placing second and third in the ranking respectively.
Guatemala, Peru, Mexico and El Salvador reached 6 quotas (3 men and 3 women) for the competition, while Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Argentina and Cuba will have 4 representatives (2 men and 2 women) in Santiago 2023.
Venezuela, Ecuador, Trinidad & Tobago and Colombia will also have the opportunity to participate in the badminton competition with 2 players each (one man and one woman).
Following the Ranking, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, Aruba*, Bolivia and Haiti received 1 spot per country to complete the total quota per gender.
Aruba waived the assigned quota and their quota was reasigned to Guatemala according to the procedures.
