Badminton arrived definitively to the schools of Peru with the program ShuttleTime in 2016. As part of the activities scheduled for this year by The Peruvian Badminton Sports Federation, was established for the first time the Inter School Tournament “Shuttle Time Perú 2016”, an event that gathered dozens of students from different schools in the country, that today are promoting badminton through the Shuttle Time Program.
In this event, and corroborating the great success that has had the installation of the program in more than 30 schools during 2016, a total of 230 participant athletes between 7 and 16 years old from 33 schools of Lima, Ayacucho and Barranca.
The event was held at the Sports Center of the Peruvian Badminton Sports Federation In CAR La Videna, the same that has the best infrastructure and equipment, which made the participants fascinated with their first experience in this Sport.
The FDPB also nominated a list of 16 athletes chosen to be part of their official academy scholarships for 2017.
No doubt that the Shuttle Time program has become the best tool for the Peruvian Badminton Sports Federation to spread our sport thanks to BWF and its Shuttle Time program.
