Everything is getting ready for the badminton competition at the Pan American Games Lima 2019, that will start on July 29 and will have its finals on August 2 at the Sports Center 3 of the National Sports Village of San Luis, in Lima, Peru.
22 countries will be represented at badminton competitions of the next Pan Am Games 2019.
After Trinidad & Tobago declined to one man spot that they won at the end of qualifying period, the Panam Sports Organization and Badminton Pan Am Confederation (BPAC), according to qualification system, offered this spot to Guatemala Badminton Federation, which has been accepted by the National Olympic Committee through official statement to Panam Sports and BPAC.
Players per Country:
- 8 players (4 men, 4 women): Canada, United States, Brazil and Peru
- 7 players (4 men, 3 women): Guatemala**
- 6 players (3 men, 3 women): Cuba, Mexico and Dominican Republic
- 4 players (2 men, 2 women): Barbados, Jamaica and Chile
- 2 players (1 man, 1 woman): Costa Rica, Argentina, El Salvador, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama and Guyana.
- 2 players (2 men): Suriname*
- 1 player (1 woman): Bolivia, Colombia and Trinidad & Tobago**
*Suriname reached 4 quotas in qualification period but accepted only 2 male spots for the Games, so the 2 female spots were offered to Bolivia and Colombia.
**Trinidad & Tobago won 2 quotas in qualification period but decline to the man spot which was offered to Guatemala.
