90 players from 16 countries gathered up from October 26 to 29 at the United States Olympic Commitee Training Center in Colorado Springs, USA at the USA-Para-Badminton International 2017 tournament.
The participating countries were Canada, Guatemala, Peru, Brazil, Korea, India, Hong Kong, Scotland, Malaysia, Japan, France, Switzerland, Germany, Suriname, Israel and host USA.
Usa took 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Miles Krajewski (USA) and Mark Dharmai (IND) championed in doubles SS6 . Miles Krajewski got the silver, this time paired with his compatriot Katheryne Valli in the mixed SS6 event, while Katherine Valli also got the silver in the Women Singles SS6 event. The 2 bronze medals went to the couple formed by Danh Trang (USA)/Deidre Nagle (SCO) and Ryan Gioffreda / Colleen Gioffreda (USA).
Peru took 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Jesus Salva Tunque paired to Giuliana Poveda got the gold in the Mixed SS6 event, and Giuliana Poveda also took the gold in the Women Singles SS6 event. In Male Doubles SS6 event, Jesus Salva Tunque along with Yohei Hatakeyama (JAP) achieved the silver medal while in Male Singles SS6, Jesus Salva Tunque and Wyatt Lightfood (CAN) won the bronze medal. The second bronce medal for Peru was achieved by Pilar Jauregui in the Women Singles WH2 event.
Canada obtained 4 bronze medals. Rishav Sharma paired to Satyam Janapareddi (IND) got the bronze in the Male Doubles SU5 event, Justin Kendrick with Wyatt Lightfood and AAron Keith (CAN) with Dawson Mc Clure (USA) both achieved bronze in the Male Doubles SS6 event. The fourth bronze medal was obtained by Wyatt Lightfood in the Male Singles SS6 event.
