Once again, our continent will have the opportunity to host one of the most important sporting events in the world: The Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.
That is why the of Argentina Republic Badminton Federation (FEBARA) is carrying out an arduous work in favor of the massification and professionalization of the local badminton.
During the 2017, FEBARA, with the support of Badminton Pan Am, held trainings for badminton teachers, courses for umpires, sports clinics Shuttle Time for hundreds of children, and the Argentina Junior International 2017 tournament, events that have allowed to sustain and promote the development of the Argentine badminton.
Currently, more than 2000 children are enjoying badminton classes in the Sports Colonies implemented in various sports centers in Buenos Aires thanks to the joint work of the National Federation and the City Authorities.
We must highlight the commitment of physical education teachers, who have successfully implemented badminton in schools through the Shuttle Time program and have achieved significant growth in our sport.
In addition, the Argentine Federation will organize the VI Argentina International 2018, a World Circuit event that will bring together featured badmintonists from the region and will serve as a test for the organization of the Youth Olympic Games.
In this way, the Pan American badminton is preparing to receive this mega sporting event, which will feature the participation of the best young badmintonists in the world, who will compete in search of Olympic gold and leave an important legacy for the region.
