Welcome Bolivia and Colombia – Pan Am Games 2019

Badminton athletes from Bolivia and Colombia will also be present at the Badminton competitions of the Pan Am Games Lima 2019.

After Suriname declined to the two women’s spots that they won at the end of the qualifying period, the Panam Sports Organization and Badminton Pan Am Confederation (BPAC), according to qualification system, offered one spot to the Bolivian Badminton Federation and one spot to the Colombian Badminton Federation, which were accepted by the National Olympic Committes through official statement to Panam Sports Organization and BPAC.

Now, 22 countries will be represented at badminton competitions of the next Pan Am Games 2019.

Players per Country:

    • 8 players (4 men and 4 women): Canada, United States, Brazil and Peru. 
    • 6 players (3 men and 3 women): Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico and Dominican Republic. 
    • 4 players (2 men and 2 women): Barbados, Jamaica and Chile.
    • 2 players (1 man and 1 woman): Costa Rica, Argentina, El Salvador, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana. 
    • 2 players (2 men): Suriname*
    • 1 player (1 woman): Bolivia and Colombia.

*Suriname reached 4 quotas in qualification period but accepted only 2 male quotas for the Games, so the 2 female quotas were offered to Bolivia and Colombia.

Badminton at Pan Am Games 2019 will be held from July 29 to August 2 at National Sports Village in Lima, Peru.
